The following procedure explains how to transfer pictures from your camera to a computer using [ib].

Procedure:

  1. Connecting the camera to a computer using the bundled USB cable

  1. Connecting the camera to a computer using the bundled USB cable
    Note:
    - To transfer pictures from the internal memory, remove the SD/SDHC card from the camera before connecting the camera to the computer. When a memory card is in the camera, the internal memory cannot be read.
    - The USB cable should be plugged directly into a computer USB port and not into a USB hub. If the camera is connected to the computer via a USB hub, it may not operate correctly.

    1. 2-1. [ib] starts automatically when the camera is connected to the computer correctly.

      When [ib] does not start automatically even after connecting your camera to the computer, double-click the [ib] icon on the desktop.

    8. 2-8. Tag faces.
      When a person is recognized, enter a name into the name box, and then click Tag.
      The New Person Registration dialog box will be displayed.
      You can enter an e-mail address and birthday. You can also assign the person to a group.

      If you have previously analyzed and added the person, you can select the person's name from the candidates.

  3. Disconnecting the camera from the computer
    1. 3-1. Close the [ib] software.
    2. 3-2. Follow the instructions below to safely disconnect the USB cable from the computer. If the USB cable is disconnected without this procedure, the computer may become unstable.
      1. Click Safely Remove Hardware in the system tray.
